Together, we build … homes … communities … and hope. This month, KIX Cares spotlights the Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.
Volunteer
Habitat Wake partners with local corporations, individuals, congregations, and community groups to build safe, affordable homes with local families. Since 1985, Habitat Wake has helped nearly 800 families in Wake and Johnston counties to build and purchase an affordable home.
Our success is possible through strong, diverse partnerships. Last year alone, individuals volunteered more than 18,500 times to help build safe, affordable homes. Each year, more than 2,700 corporations, congregations, individuals, and local organizations provide financial and volunteer support. Habitat Wake ReStores provides a sustainable revenue stream in support of our mission, enabling us to build even more homes. Our partners make it possible for homebuyer families to build and purchase homes of their own. Every individual and group can help build affordable homes. Join our work!
Purchase a Habitat Home
Dreaming of homeownership? The cost of living in our community is rising, and it’s harder than ever to find an affordable home. We serve families of all income ranges, you may be surprised how many people qualify.
By working with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County from beginning to end, you will prepare for the various responsibilities of homeownership, including learning about personal finances, mortgages, maintenance, and much more.
Habitat’s path to homeownership is an important and in-depth process, requiring hard work, time and dedication. But this helps ensure the long-term success of Habitat homeowners. You can do it!
