This month, KIX Cares and North Raleigh Periodontics spotlight Raleigh’s GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center. Dr. Macon Singletary and Monica Singletary of North Raleigh Periodontics are the parents of a child with Down syndrome and have long been advocates of support for parents and families of children with Down syndrome. GiGi’s Playhouse offers direct educational, therapeutic and career building programs to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.
At GiGi’s Playhouse, all ages are welcome, from pre-natal to adults. The positive and uplifting environment of GiGi’s Playhouse Raleigh will empower those with Down syndrome and their families to reach their highest potential. GiGi’s Playhouse’s custom, research-based curriculum works towards advancing literacy, math skills, gross and fine motor skills, improving low muscle tone, building self-esteem, preparing for the workforce and more while fostering acceptance, awareness and networking resources for parents, siblings and the community. All programs are FREE of charge: cost will not be a barrier to achievement!
GiGi’s Playhouse was created to change the way the world views a Down syndrome diagnosis and send a global message of acceptance for all.
We understand that many families are first time parents and they need us. Many young parents do not expect, or know in advance of their child’s diagnosis, and they need renewed hope and genuine acceptance from day one.
At GiGi’s Playhouse families are never alone. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a lifetime commitment to remain by their side. Families are empowered with all the tools their child needs to succeed! You can find out more about Gigi’s Playhouse at gigisplayhouse.org/raleigh.
