Saturday on AT40 it’s the big songs this week in 1981! A couple of duets rule the charts: “Endless Love” by Diana Ross with Lionel Richie, and “Stop Draggin My Heart Around” by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty. He plays Dr. Noah Drake on TV’s hit ‘General Hospital’, and Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” is racing up the charts. More TV action with the theme from “The Greatest American Hero” in the Top Ten. Country artists are making a respectable showing, with Ronnie Milsap, Eddie Rabbitt, Kenny Rogers, and Alabama all in the Top 20. The songs you know and love, some One Hit Wonders, and surprises too…Back to the 80s, every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40, KIX time-travels with the top of the pops this week 1973! It was Labor Day weekend, and we send out summer bopping to the new 8-track hits by Marvin Gaye, “Let’s Get It On”, Wings “Live and Let Die”, Helen Reddy “Delta Dawn”, and Al Green “Here I Am”. The band Stories is a Rod Stewart sound-alike with their Top Five hit “Brother Louie”. And for whatever reason, 1962’s “Monster Mash” has reentered the survey… early Happy Halloween! The countdown, Casey’s stories, and the Long Distance dedications…every Sunday 9-noon, only on KIX.

American Top 40: Brigs

American Top 40: Brigs

It’s the Original American Top 40 with Casey Kasem. This weekend, it’s the hits from 1977 and 1983. Presented this week by Brigs Restaurants! Open for dine-in and pick up. This month’s specials include Blackberry Pancakes. You can also enjoy the Caprese salad, the Caprese burger or Caprese chicken sandwich. See more at Brigs.com.

Saturday on AT40 it’s the big songs this week 1983.  We were buying those newfangled Compact Discs by The Eurythmics, Duran Duran,  and Eddy Grant…”Flashdance” was the hot movie and has a couple of songs in the countdown. Donna Summer is working Hard For The Money moving up the charts, but The Police will be hard to beat, enjoying five weeks at #1 with “Every Breath You Take”. Bonus: Our wacky song of the week is “Putting’ On The Ritz” by Taco! The songs you know and love, some One Hit Wonders, and surprises too…Back to the 80s, every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40,  KIX time-travels with the top of the pops this week 1977. It’s a happy musical world where Barbra Streisand, Alice Cooper, The Commodores, and Shaun Cassidy all peacefully co-exist in the Top Ten. They are a bit jealous of Andy Gibb though: he’s at #1 for the second week with “I Just Want to Be Your Everything”.  Jimmy Buffett has a new song “Margaritaville” and it looks like a winner. And just for fun, it’s the slightly naughty “Telephone Man” by Meri Wilson!

The countdown, Casey’s stories, and the Long Distance dedications…every Sunday 9-noon, only on KIX.

Casey Kasem AT 40

Saturday on AT40 it’s the big songs this week from 1985! We were hitting the theaters for the new Bond movie “View To A Kill”, and Duran Duran’s theme song is topping the charts. Even more soundtrack music from A Night in Heaven (Bryan Adams’ “Heaven”) and Back to The Future (Huey Lewis and The News’ “The Power of Love”). And with hit videos by Prince for “Raspberry Beret” and Whitney Houston with “You Give Good Love”, it’s all about The Visual on the countdown this week! The songs you know and love, some One Hit Wonders, and surprises too…Back to the 80s, every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40, KIX time-travels with the top of the pops this week 1974. Are you ready to Rock with these new 8-Tracks and 45s: “Rock Your Baby” by George McCrae at #1 for the second week, “Rock and Roll Heaven” by The Righteous Brothers, and “Rock The Boat” by Hues Corporation. And just for fun, “Billy Don’t Be a Hero” by Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods!

Vortex Pro Wash:

Vortex Pro Wash prevents damage to your investment with a soft wash. NO cracked siding, NO peeled paint, and NO broken window seals. What Is Soft Washing? Soft washing is a term that is becoming much more commonly used in the pressure washing and roof cleaning industries. It simply means to clean a given exterior using a much softer amount of pressure than most would traditionally associate with a pressure washing company. In fact, most of the exterior cleaning services performed by today’s professionals would fall under the soft washing umbrella. The reason that the term pressure washing is still so widely used has more to do with its industry term recognition than anything. The definition of soft washing is to clean an exterior using 400 psi or less. You can trust them on your property and with your property. Vortex Pro Wash, exceptional service, in a professional manner and at a fair price.

The Aluminum Company:
