The SMC Legacy Scholarship was established to honor the memory and continue the legacy of Sandra M. Covington who dedicated nearly 40 years of her life working in the field of pharmacy.

The scholarship is administered by the SMC Legacy Group, a nonprofit organization which seeks to provide financial support to students majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) or health related fields (especially pharmacy) for their post-secondary education.
