Saturday on AT40, hear the big songs from this week in 1985! Sunday morning on KIX, Casey Kasem hosts an American Top 40 show that originally aired during this week in 1971! It was the first time we heard the everlasting classics “Rainy Days and Mondays,” “Brown Sugar,” and “Joy to The World.” Songs from the “Jesus Christ Superstar” album get some play:  the title track by Murray Head, and two versions of “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from Yvonne Elliman and Helen Reddy.  Headed toward the top we’ll hear “Want Ads” by Honey Cone, written by General Johnson of Chairmen of the Board and featuring teenager Ray Parker Jr. on guitar!
