Classic AT 40: ARS Rescue Rooter

Classic AT 40: ARS Rescue Rooter

It’s the Original American Top 40 with Casey Kasem, featuring hits from 1977 and 1988. Presented by ARS Rescue Rooter! For all your Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing needs.

Go to www.arsraleighdurham.com and see online specials or call 919-865-7777.

Saturday on AT40 hear the big songs this week 1988!  You’ll hear a bunch of cover versions of songs: Pet Shop Boys doing “Always On My Mind”, Natalie Cole with “Pink Cadillac”, and Tiffany’s take on “I Saw Him (Her) Standing There”…the Top Ten includes some newcomers and one-hit wonders: Icehouse, Samantha Fox, and Johnny Hates Jazz…and the second ten features veterans Foreigner, George Michael, and INXS…they’re all chasing Gloria Estefan (“Anything For You”) and Terence Trent D’Arby (“Wishing Well”) in the quest for #1!  Back to The 80s every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40,  Casey Kasem plays back the hits this week 1977!   “Starsky and Hutch” was rockin’ the TV, and its star David Soul has a hit with “Don’t Give Up on Us”…You’ll hear some Southern Rock by The Atlanta Rhythm Section and The Marshall Tucker Band…The Eagles’ brand new record “Hotel California” is in the top five…The rest of the top ten has familiar names Stevie Wonder, Glen Campbell, KC, and The Sunshine Band, and Marvin Gaye, but are any of them worthy of unseating newbie Leo Sayer’s “When I Need You” from the top spot?? The Countdown,  Casey’s stories, and the Long Distance Dedications…every Sunday 9-noon, only on KIX.
