Saturday on AT40 hear the big songs this week 1982 with the King of The Countdown: Casey Kasem. The tunes that were rockin’ the video arcades and skating rinks: Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock n Roll”,  “Shake it Up” by The Cars, and “I Can’t Go For That” by Hall & Oates… Newcomers The Go-Go’s have their second hit with “ We Got The Beat”… just for fun it’s “Pac Man Fever” by Buckner & Garcia..and the J. Geils band has spent a whopping four weeks at #1 with “Centerfold” hoping for Five! It’s Back to the 80s, every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40,  Casey Kasem plays back the hits this week 1977! “A Star is Born” was in theaters, and its theme song by the movie’s star Barbra Streisand was on the charts…” Starsky and Hutch” was a top TV show, and its star David Soul is in the countdown with “Don’t Give Up On Us”…Rock veterans Steve Miller, Fleetwood Mac, and Bob Seger have top ten entries…and disco is starting to make waves with hits by Abba, The BeeGees, and Thelma Houston.
