1 lb fresh strawberries (firm, ripe, with stems)

8 oz chocolate (semi-sweet, dark, milk, or white)

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut, white chocolate drizzle
Instructions
1. Prep the strawberriesWash strawberries and dry them completely with paper towels. Any moisture will cause the chocolate to seize, so take your time here.
2. Melt the chocolateChop chocolate and melt using one of these methods:

Microwave: Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

Double boiler: Melt gently over simmering water, stirring constantly
Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip into melted chocolate, and gently twist as you lift to remove excess.
4. TopPlace dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add toppings or drizzle with contrasting chocolate before the coating sets.
5. SetAllow strawberries to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or chill for 10–15 minutes if you’re short on time.
