Classic AT 40 with Casey Kasem!

Classic AT 40 with Casey Kasem!

It’s the original American Top 40 with Casey Kasem, featuring hits from 1979 and 1982! Presented by Newcomb and Company ….Turn to the experts at Newcomb and Company. Your comfort is our business. www.newcombandcompany.com

Saturday on AT40 hear the big songs this week 1982!  One of the most beloved, and parodied movie themes ever “Chariots of Fire” is in the top five…One of the most-called phone numbers in a song “867-5309” as well…Newcomers Huey Lewis and The News have their first smash “Do You Believe in Love?” and first-timers The Go Go’s score with “We Got The Beat”… Joan Jett is hit-bound and leather-bound hoping her “I Love Rock n Roll” can make it 7 straight weeks at Number One! Back to The 80s every Saturday 6-10 am, with an encore presentation 8-midnight on KIX.

Sunday morning on AT40,  Casey Kasem plays back the hits this week 1979!   Dance music rules with Blondie, Amii Stewart, Gloria Gaynor, and Chic in the Top Ten…One Hit Wonder instrumental “Music Box Dancer” makes a play for the top spot.. The new band Dire Straits has a unique sound on “Sultans of Swing”..and it’s no surprise that chart-meisters The Bee Gees are in the survey twice: “Tragedy” and “Too Much Heaven”! The Countdown,  Casey’s stories, and the Long Distance Dedications…every Sunday 9-noon, only on KIX.
